I'm proclaiming Tomorrow as a 'Don't tell a lie no matter what Day'.

Some might say, but Pastor Sean, I never lie. That's very excellent. Now, this includes Little lies, White lies, stretching the truth and lies that shouldn't count. All the above  

Be so very honest, so brutally honest, shrewd as a serpent yet gentle as a dove honest, that when someone asks you a question tomorrow, you would actually have to say, are you sure you really want to know the answer to that?
 Because I am going to tell you the truth and it might not be what you want to hear. I'm talking about that kind of honesty.

This will end Saturday morning however for those of you who would like to continue this for the rest of your lives, please feel free to do so. 

Now, this is the tough one, I need all of you to brace yourselves, ready? For all those who are married, if you have lied to your spouse in the last 6 months about (anything) and the Lord brings it to your mind, you must confess it, (all) of it.

This begins at midnight for those of you who are late hawks.

It was the night before rifle qualification day. In time, we all grew to love each other and care for each other, enduring a gruling 11 weeks of training.

However, Gomez was struggling and could not qualify on the pre-qualification day. It was his last chance. I just felt I had to do something. I learned how to pray as a child.

So I decided to do the unthinkable.

 That night, while the Drill Instructors were fast asleep, I quietly approached the guard and asked him not to tell on me. 

He asked me what I was planning to do? I told him I was going to pray. He didn't understand, but said he would keep quiet and not report me. 

I then remembered four boys of faith like me, I went to their bunks one by one, quietly woke each one up and led them to Gomez's bed. They asked me what we were doing? 

I whispered, we must pray for Gomez, that he qualify tomorrow and graduate with the rest of us.

Miraculously, they all agreed.

Gomez, woke up and asked what was going on? I told him don't move, just stay in bed we're going to pray for you, so he closed his eyes.

 We prayed with all our heart for God to have mercy on our friend, said Amen, then we quietly went back to our bunks and went to sleep. 

That graduation day, that wonderful day, standing there with my friends, was one of the best days of my life.

 Last week I was given the privilege to attend my great Nieces 8th grade graduation. 

As the announcer was speaking, he told us something very dear to his heart. 

He said, "This is a blessed day to see these young boys and girls graduate but, what's really 'special' he said, was to see how they have grown, then he started showing us pictures of when they were years younger, almost like little babes.

This is how our Heavenly Father  is, he is so grateful to see how far you've come today but, what really brings Him Joy, is when He looks back toward us and sees how much we've all grown individually, the things that used to take us out, no longer have its power because we have seen his power, work through us, through the years.

The growth is the miracle.

Then she'd say, "This is going to hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt you.


 I'm thinking today I should have said, "That's a good point mom, how about we forget the whole thing, let me go back to my room, this way no one gets hurt." But that wouldn't have worked either.

This is how Jesus is, our Heavenly Father, when we sin and He has to punish us, it hurts Him more than it hurts us.

But you might say, how can this be?

Not liking someone is one thing hating them is another. 

This being said, those you don't like, those you don't particularly desire to be around, you don't have to invite them over for family barbecues, but you do have to love them and show love for them.
