When dought enters your mind, you must practice, casting it out immediately,  do not entertain these types of thoughts for a second, would you like to know why?

Because, eventually that doubt will turn into fear and fear will turn into fretting. 

The difference?

 'Fear' is a direct, often instinctual response to a present, specific threat or danger, lasting only as long as the danger appears.

 'Fretting' however, is a sustained,, more constant, internal, and often mental state of worry, anxiety, or annoyance that "gnaws" at a person, typically regarding future uncertainties or situations beyond their control. 

The solution? Speak out the mighty word of God and rebuke Satan in the mighty name of Jesus. This is why memorizing your favorite strength BUILDING scriptures is so very important.

"No weapon fashion against you will prosper, but every tongue that rises against (you) in judgment (you) shall condemn..."

In other words, whatever caused you to fail the first time, will take a lot more before you fail the second.

 However, the greatest feeling of all is when someone sees Jesus on me and sees a light on me that can only come from the Holy Spirit, (regardless) of what I'm wearing in the physical.

Understand both are good, but personally, I prefer the latter over the first.

"Put on the Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 13:14) is a metaphor for adopting the (character), mindset, and virtues of Jesus as a (daily), conscious act, rather than just initial salvation.

It means to be so closely identified with Him that His life is (reflected) in one's actions, and to avoid nurturing sinful desires. This is the standard!

Starting today, diligently work on being a GREAT listener.

What does that mean? Purposely resist cutting them off and you know sometimes someone's talking to you and the answer pops into your head while they're (still) talking? 

So, you pretty much are not listening to anything that they say after that, because you can't wait for them to finish to give them that perfect response knocking on the door of your lips. 

The problem is, everything they say after that, is going in one ear and out the other.

 So, I challenge you - as soon as the answer pops into your head, throw that out and 'continue' listening intently to what they're saying.

 Because, if that answer is the right one, the Lord will most assured put it back in your mind when they're finished.

I first met Matthew when I was selected to minister at a halfway house for men. As I was walking through the property, someone told me "There's Matthew, he's retarded, he has the mind of a 12 year old. Matthew was 48 years old at the time. 

When I introduced myself, Matthew was drawing in a coloring book for kids. He said "Welcome Pastor, I'm Matthew, I have a brain disorder and I'm disabled. He was the sweetest kindest, gentle giant. 

Matthew called me one day very upset. He told me the Halfway house leadership was fed up with him and gave him 3 weeks to get out. They knew Matthew had a brain disability so they knew he would be homeless because he had nowhere else to go.

I told Matthew that the Lord would not abandon him and that we were going to take this to the Lord in prayer. 

As I got ready to pray, Matthew asked "are we going to pray now?" I replied "yes Matthew, we're going to pray." Matthew asked "Does the Lord know I only have 3 weeks?" I gently responded with a soft smile, "yes Mathew, He knows."

 As I was growing up as a kid, especially from 13 years old to 15. Our church would regularly and faithfully have an Altar call. 

My mom kept telling me to go up, she could tell I was resisting the call.

I wanted so much to go up and see the Lord, but I was too ashamed, I was too embarrassed. I thought it was a sign of weakness instead of humility.

I had a battle within me every time they had an Altar call. I so much wanted to go up there, but I just couldn't do it.

One Saturday evening in my room when I was 15 years old, I had my lights out, I was getting ready to go to bed and a woman on the radio was speaking as if she was talking directly to me. She asked would you like to receive the Lord as your personal savior?

 I spoke to her as if she was standing right next to me and said "yes I would". 

She said, do you believe that God the creator of Heaven and Earth sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins? I said "yes I do believe". She said, do you believe He rose again on the third day? I responded "I believe". The woman on the radio said, then you are now saved, for as the word says; with your mouth you confess, with your heart you believe(Romans 10:9-11).

At that time, that very instant, I (knew) I was saved. There were absolutely no doubts in my heart. I ran to the kitchen and told my mom  and she cried and hugged me.

I told my mom I wasn't ready to share this, so please don't tell anyone, my mom promised she wouldn't.

That Sunday morning my mom sang a solo, when she was done singing, she just stood there like she wanted to say something. 

I remember whispering, please Lord don't let her say nothing, she promised. 

Then my mom went to sit down and I said thank God. 

But, then my mom got right back up again.

 My mom said "I promised my son, I wouldn't tell anyone but, I'm overwhelmed with joy, Sean, received the Lord as his personal Savior last night. 

I couldn't believe it, she promised. I was so mad at her. But as I became a man, I understood.

I would not come to the Lord, in public, so He decided to actually come after me. How wonderful is that? How great is that?

Now, you might ask what brought all this on? I would love to tell you, last night I was watching a movie called 'THE FORGE,' in the movie the mother told her son, he should go to church so he could get to know the Lord. Her son replied, "why do I have to go to church, the Lord knows where I am, I'm right here, He can find me if he wants to."
And then he received the Lord as his personal Savior in his room, and then I remembered, that's exactly what He did for me. I was trying to figure things out by myself and I realized I needed Jesus.

Mom, if you're reading this, I don't know how many times you prayed for me, but thank you, I love you Mom.

When Jesus revealed Himself to Thomas, after He was raised from the dead and returned, Jesus told Thomas, that he was blessed for believing (after) he saw it for himself.

However, Jesus said, those who believe in Him without physically seeing Him are the ones who are TRULY blessed.

When difficulties come, you can't actually see God, yet you still believe in Him, based on His word and what you've already witnessed.

This is the person God will surely (bless) but, you can't always see that right away either. 

This is why Faith is so important. Jesus said, it's (impossible) to please Him without faith.

So, what's one of the first things Satan wants to hit you with? Doubt!
