​When I was a young boy and did wrong and trust me I knew when I did wrong and my mother called me, right before she spanked me, she would always say, now son, if you didn't know any better it'd be different, but you did. Then she'd say, "This is going to hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt you.

 I'm thinking today I should have said, "That's a good point mom, how about we forget the whole thing, let me go back to my room, this way no one gets hurt." But that wouldn't have worked either.

This is how Jesus is, our Heavenly Father, when we sin and He has to punish us, it hurts Him more than it hurts us.

But you might say, how can this be?

 One day when I was having a challenging day. One of my friends walked by me heading to his office he said "Sean, me and my family prayed for you today" as he smiled and walked by. 

That meant the world to me.
