1 Corinthians 13:7

When my son David was young, he asked me if you could play his violin for the Lord on Sunday. I was very proud of him and replied "of course."

That Wednesday I heard him practice and he sounded really good. Thursday, as he practiced in his room he sounded okay but, not as good as the day before. That Friday evening as he practiced, he sounded really bad. And Saturday he sounded even worse.

That Sunday When it came time for my son to play, I was ready to tell him afterwards, that God is no one to play with and if you're not going to take Him seriously and not play with all your heart, don't even get up there.

Right before my son got ready to play, he put his violin down and spoke to the audience and said this; "Thursday night I injured my playing finger playing basketball, but I  said, "that won't stop me." Friday night I hurt my other finger. Saturday night I broke two strings, but I said, that won't stop me. This morning I stand before you to still play, I won't sound good at all but, I will play with all I have for Him.

I couldn't believe it, how terrible my heart was. This brought me to tears, and I was so proud of him and I felt 3 feet tall. I took him to McDonald's after church and to his favorite toy store and asked for forgiveness. He said "of course dad." I said, "I love you son I'm so, so sorry."

1 Corinthians 13:7, which states that love "believes all things". The phrase expresses the idea that a loving person is not cynical or suspicious but rather trusts by default and gives others the benefit of the doubt. I love you all.
