Psalm 139:13-14

4/20/2026

 I was entering a trophy shop, looking to have a plaque made for one of my coworkers.

Just as I entered the shop, there was this person smiling from ear to ear, leaving the shop with one of the largest and most impressive plaques I've seen.

 The strange thing is, the owner was cursing her as she left his shop. I asked the owner what the problem was, that looked like a good sale, they must have paid a fortune for that.

He said, they did, but that's not why I'm angry, he said that this was her last day at work and no one recognized her with any type of award, so they decided to take it upon themselves and have one made  with the company they were leaving name on it, as if the company gave it to them.

The shop owner thought that was very arrogant and dishonest.

But this can happen to anyone, who does not get their value from the Lord.

Seeking value from others in order for you to feel fulfilled or complete is not healthy or wise, why? Because you will end up like an emotional rollercoaster  with your joy and your value dependant on what people think or don't think of you, which can change at any moment.

God values and holds you close, like His very own personal treasure, before you were even born, do you know that? You did not earn this, because it is from His mercy, grace and love He has for you.

With this being said, there is nothing wrong with enjoying when others value you, however, even that comes from the Lord.

Psalm 139:13-14

"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
    my soul knows it very well."
